Laughter yoga during Covid

Like many services and businesses, HAHA is on a bit of a pause considering the current restrictions. However, this does not mean we should pause the laughter! Please do what you can to keep laughing and keep letting out your inner child. As much as possible, go outside, breathe fresh air, make jokes, spend time around children, watch and listen to media that is light-hearted and inspirational, commit to screen-free days or weekends, play music, dance with your spouse and family members, and marvel at the beauty of our bodies and our world.

Please note: there are likely ways to participate in laughter yoga online (you might check laughteryoga.org), but if you are interested in holding a laughter yoga session in-person and outdoors (mask-free) don’t hesitate to reach out: liza@healthandhappinessalign.com. Cheers!

It was a very profound few minutes as we took turns adding our own emphasis to his initial summary of friendship, respect for others, and doing good work as what brings meaning to life. To close, one member decided to sum it up in four words, all beginning with ‘L’. It quickly became the mantra of the practice. So here it is: THE MEANING OF LIFE IN FOUR WORDS:

Laughter in the news!

“Research has shown that the smile that creeps up and explodes into uncontrollable laughter has multiple health benefits, such as relieving stress and pain, boosting the immune system, reducing blood pressure, elevating mood and stimulating the mind.” Let’s keep laughing, folks!
